"Louise Cookman is THE big band girl vocalist sans pareil in this country.  Girl singers simply do not sound or look like this any morewhich is why she is every big band leader's dream!"
Jay Craig, BBC Big Band, Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Jay Craig Orchestra

"Louise Cookman is a consistent delight.  She's great to work with, always looks and sound just beautiful and – most importantly – she has the 'it' factor that audiences absolutely love.  I recommend her highly."
James Langton, James Langton & His Solid Senders, Pasadena Roof Orchestra

A successful singer presenting mainstream swing and jazz standards, Louise Cookman, as well as her own band, works with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, The Jay Craig Orchestra, The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra and has appeared with the BBC Big Band several times.  Louise has a particular love of and affinity for the dance band vocalists of the 1930's and 40's; singers such as Helen Forrest, Peggy Lee, Helen Ward and early Anita O'Day and the bands of Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman and Harry James and has performed at major theatres and concert halls both in the UK and across Europe as well as on BBC Radio 2, 3 and 4 and in period television drama.

"An added bonus came courtesy of Louise Cookman’s vocals. She added her own style to numbers associated with Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee. Why Don’t You Do Right was outstanding."
Barrie Jerram, The Brighton Argus
